LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF VALUATION) ACT, 1963. AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF VALUATION) ACTS, 1954 TO 1960. [11th July, 1963.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— Amendment of section 3 of Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Act, 1954. 1.— Section 3 of the Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Act, 1954 , is hereby amended— (a) by the substitution of “the 31st day of March, 1966” for “the 31st day of March, 1963” in the definition of “the prescribed period” contained in subsection (1), and (b) by the insertion of the following paragraph in subsection (3) after paragraph (e): “(ee) the enlargement or improvement of a building by the provision or installation therein of a private water supply or private sewerage facilities where relief from rates is, by reference to the enlargement or improvement, given under the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1962 (No. 26 of 1962),” Amendment of section 2 of Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Act, 1960. 2.— Section 2 of the Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Act, 1960 , is hereby amended by the substitution of “six years ending on the 31st day of March, 1966 ” for “three years ending on the 31st day of March, 1963”. Short title and collective citation. 3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Act, 1963. (2) The Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Acts, 1954 to 1960, and this Act may be cited together as the Local Government (Temporary Reduction of Valuation) Acts, 1954 to 1963.
