LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1934. AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 12 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1927 . [8th March, 1934.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— Partial repeal of sub-section (2) of section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927. 1.—Paragraph (c) of sub-section (2) of section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927 (No. 3 of 1927), is hereby repealed as on and from the 1st day of April, 1933, and the said section shall have and shall be deemed to have had, as on and from the said date effect accordingly. Amendment of sub-section (3) of section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927. 2.—The Local Government (Amendment) Act, 1930 (No. 26 of 1930), is hereby repealed, and in lieu of section 1 thereof it is hereby enacted that sub-section (3) of section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927 (No. 3 of 1927), be and is hereby amended, as on and from the 1st day of October, 1933, by the substitution of the figures “1938” for the figures “1930” at the end of that sub-section. Application of section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927. 3.— Section 12 of the Local Government Act, 1927 (No. 3 of 1927), shall not apply to houses in relation to which any relief in respect of rates is given by section 13 of the Housing (Gaeltacht) Act, 1929 (No. 41 of 1929). Short title and citation. 4.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Local Government (Amendment) Act, 1934. (2) The Local Government Acts, 1925 and 1927, the Local Government Act, 1931 (No. 19 of 1931), the Local Government Act, 1933 (No. 5 of 1933) and this Act may be cited together as the Local Government Acts, 1925 to 1934.
