Duration of Part III of Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978. 2. Amendment of section 23 of Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978. 3. Short title, construction and collective citation. Act Referred to Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978 1978, No. 16 Number 20 of 1983 LANDLORD AND TENANT (GROUND RENTS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1983 AN ACT TO EXTEND THE PERIOD DURING WHICH APPLICATIONS MAY BE MADE UNDER PART III OF THE LANDLORD AND TENANT (GROUND RENTS) (NO. 2) ACT, 1978 , AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE INCREASE OF CERTAIN FEES UNDER THAT PART. [29th June, 1983] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: Duration of Part III of Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978. 1.— Section 18 of the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978 (which relates to the period during which applications may be made under Part III of that Act) is hereby amended by the substitution of “six years” for “five years”. Amendment of section 23 Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978. 2.—In relation to any application under Part III of the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No. 2) Act, 1978 , made on or after the 1st day of August, 1983, section 23 (1) (which relates to certain fees to be taken in the Land Registry) of that Act shall have effect as if there were substituted “£15” for “£5” in paragraph (a) and “£36” for “£12” in paragraph (b). Short title, construction and collective citation. 3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (Amendment) Act, 1983. (2) The Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1967 to 1980, and this Act shall be construed together as one Act and may be cited together as the Landlord and Tenant Acts, 1967 to 1983.
