EXPIRING LAWS ACT, 1926. ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS Section 1 . Acts in Schedule to be continued. 2 . Short title. SCHEDULE. Acts Referred to District Justices (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 No. 6 of 1923. Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 No. 9 of 1923. Statutory Undertakings (Continuance of Charges) (No. 2) Act, 1923 No. 16 of 1923. Electricity Undertakings (Continuance of Charges) Act, 1924 No. 17 of 1924. No. 43 of 1926. EXPIRING LAWS ACT, 1926. AN ACT TO CONTINUE FOR A LIMITED PERIOD CERTAIN EXPIRING ENACTMENTS. [23rd December, 1926.] WHEREAS the Acts mentioned in the Schedule to this Act, in so far as they are in force in Saorstát Eireann, and are temporary in their duration, are limited to expire on the 31st day of December, 1926: AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Acts mentioned in the Schedule to this Act, and the enactments amending or affecting the same should be continued as in this Act is mentioned: BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:— Acts in Schedule to be continued. 1.—(1) The Acts mentioned in the Schedule to this Act shall, to the extent specified in the third column of the said Schedule, be continued until the 31st day of December, 1927, and shall then expire unless further continued. (2) Any unrepealed enactments amending or affecting the enactments continued by this section shall, in so far as they are temporary in their duration, be continued in like manner, whether they are mentioned in the Schedule to this Act or not.
