Amendment of section 3 of International Development Association Act, 1960. 2. Short title and collective citation. Acts Referred to International Development Association Act, 1960 1960, No. 35 International Development Association Acts, 1960 to 1993 International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1980 1980, No. 15 International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1993 1993, No. 26 Number 19 of 1997 INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1997 AN ACT TO ENABLE ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS NOT EXCEEDING IN AGGREGATE £13,000,000 TO BE MADE ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNMENT TO THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. [7th May, 1997] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: Amendment of section 3 of International Development Association Act, 1960. 1.— Section 3 of the International Development Association Act, 1960 , is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraphs for paragraph (m) (inserted by the International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1993 ) of subsection (2) (inserted by the International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1980 ): “(m) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £13,000,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (n) payments under subparagraph (i) of paragraph (c) of Section 4 of Article VII of the Agreement.”, and, accordingly, that subsection shall have effect as set out in the Table to this section: TABLE “(2) The following payments, as and when they become appropriate to be made on behalf of the Government, shall be made out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof: (a) payments under subsections (a) to (d) of Section 2 of Article II of the Agreement, (b) payments under Section 1 of Article III of the Agreement, (c) payments under paragraph (a) of Section 2 of Article IV of the Agreement, (d) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate the equivalent in Irish currency of 4 million United States dollars of the weight and fineness in effect on the 1st day of January, 1960, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (e) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £3,100,070, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (f) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £5,819,705, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (g) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £6,230,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (h) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £2,076,667, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution by the Board of Executive Directors of the Association on arrangements for special contributions, (i) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £8,330,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (j) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £9,660,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (k) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £12,740,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (l) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £13,000,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (m) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £13,000,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources, (n) payments under subparagraph (i) of paragraph (c) of Section 4 of Article VII of the Agreement.”. Short title and collective citation. 2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1997. (2) The International Development Association Acts, 1960 to 1993, and this Act may be cited together as the International Development Association Acts, 1960 to 1997.
