- The maximum amounts for individual building grants and combined grants and loans.
- The eligibility criteria for receiving grants and loans, specifically regarding language use.
Who it concerns
- Occupiers of dwelling-houses in Gaeltacht areas.
- Households where the Irish language is habitually used as the home language.
Key points
- The total amount for grants and loans under the Principal Act is increased to six hundred and fifty thousand pounds.
- Individual building grants are capped at:
* Ninety pounds for properties with a rateable value not exceeding five pounds.
* Eighty-five pounds for properties with a rateable value exceeding five pounds but not exceeding ten pounds.
* Eighty pounds in all other cases.
- The combined amount of a building grant and loan cannot exceed one hundred and sixty pounds.
- Grants and loans are now exclusively for occupiers of dwelling-houses where Irish is habitually used as the home language.
