INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1980
AN ACT TO ENABLE ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS NOT EXCEEDING A SPECIFIED TOTAL AMOUNT TO BE MADE ON BEHALF OF THE GOVERNMENT TO THE INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION. [25th June, 1980]
BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:
Amendment of section 3 of International Development Association Act, 1960.
1.—
Section 3
of the
International Development Association Act, 1960
, is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection (2) of the following subsection:
“(2) The following payments, as and when they become appropriate to be made on behalf of the Government, shall be made out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof:
(a) payments under subsections (a) to (d) of Section 2 of Article II of the Agreement,
(b) payments under Section 1 of Article III of the Agreement,
(c) payments under paragraph (a) of Section 2 of Article IV of the Agreement,
(d) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate the equivalent in Irish currency of 4 million United States dollars of the weight and fineness in effect on the 1st day of January, 1960, in accordance with any
arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources,
(e) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £3,100,070, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources,
(f) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £5,819,705, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources,
(g) payments to the Association not exceeding in aggregate £6,230,000, in accordance with any arrangements made between the Government and the Association arising out of any Resolution of the Board of Governors of the Association on additional financial resources,
(h) payments under subparagraph (i) of paragraph (c) of Section 4 of Article VII of the Agreement.”.
Short title and collective citation.
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the International Development Association (Amendment) Act, 1980.
(2) The International Development Association Acts, 1960 to 1978, and this Act may be cited together as the International Development Association Acts, 1960 to 1980.
