No. 81. THE LAND (FINANCE) RULES, 1925, AMENDMENT RULES, 1927. WHEREAS it is enacted by section 17 of the Land Act, 1923 (No. 42 of 1923), that the Minister for Finance shall have power to make rules for carrying the provisions of Part I of that Act into effect and for adapting to the requirements of the said Land Act, 1923 , such provisions of any enactment passed prior to the said Act as relates to Land Purchase Finance : AND WHEREAS on the 10th day of November, 1925, rules for carrying into effect the provisions of Part I of the said Land Act, 1923 , as amended by the Land Bond Act, 1925 , (No. 25 of 1925), and entitled the Land (Finance) Rules, 1925, were made by the Minister for Finance in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 17 of the said Land Act, 1923 : AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Land (Finance) Rules, 1925, be amended in the manner and to the effect hereinafter mentioned : NOW, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 17 of the Land Act, 1923 (No. 42 of 1923), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following rules :— 1. These rules may be cited for all purposes as the Land (Finance) Rules, 1925, Amendment Rules, 1927. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of these Rules in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924. 3. References to the National Land Bank, Limited, in the Land (Finance) Rules, 1925, shall be construed as references to the National City Bank, Limited, and the said Rules shall have effect accordingly.
