No. 6.ORDER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION FOR IRELAND. THE HAY AND STRAW ORDERS AMENDMENT ORDER OF 1929. (Dated 6th February, 1929). The Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in them under the joint operation of the Agriculture and Technical Instruction (Ireland) Act, 1899, and of the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1894 to 1914, and of every other power enabling them in this behalf, do, with the concurrence of the Minister for Agriculture hereby order :— 1 PROHIBITION OF LANDING OF GRASS OR GRASS TURVES. 1. The Foreign Hay and Straw (Ireland) Order of 1912, the Hay and Straw (Movement from Great Britain to the Irish Free State) Order of 1923, and the Orders amending same shall be read and have effect as if, in their application to the Irish Free State, the expression "hay" in these Orders included grass and grass turves. 2 INTERPRETATION. 2. In this Order the expression "Grass turves" means pieces of surface earth containing roots of grass and/or other small plants. 3 COMMENCEMENT. 3. This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of February, 1929. 4 SHORT TITLE. 4. This Order may be cited as THE HAY AND STRAW ORDERS AMENDMENT ORDER OF 1929. IN WITNESS whereof the Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, have hereunto set their Official Seal this Sixth day of February, nineteen hundred and twenty-nine. F. J.
