AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1932. No. 114. DAIRY PRODUCE ACT (COLLECTION OF FEES) REGULATIONS, 1932. WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), that the Minister for Finance may from time to time make regulations for certain purposes respecting fees in any public office, and amongst others for the purpose of regulating the manner in which such fees, taken in money, are to be taken, accounted for, and paid over: AND WHEREAS the Office of the Minister for Agriculture is a public office within the meaning of the said Act and the Office of the Principal Chemist of the State Laboratories is also a public office within the meaning of the said Act: AND WHEREAS by virtue of the Dairy Produce Act (Collection of Fees) Order, 1932 (Statutory Rules and Orders 1932 (No. 113)), fees payable in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture and in the Office of the Principal Chemist of the State Laboratories under the Dairy Produce Act, 1924 (No. 58 of 1924), are to be collected in money: NOW, Therefore, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say:— 1. These regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Dairy Produce Act (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1932. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of these regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924. 3. In these regulations the expression "the Act" means the Dairy Produce Act, 1924 (No. 58 of 1924). 4. Payment of a fee in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture under the Act may, in the case of a person who at the date of payment is in Ireland, be made either— (
  4. a)by lodging the fee to the credit of the Paymaster-General's Supply Account at the head office of the Bank of Ireland, College Green, Dublin, or at any branch in Ireland of the Bank of Ireland, together with a receivable order to be obtained from the said Office, and by presenting at the said Office the lower portion of such receivable order receipted by the said Bank; or (
  5. b)if the amount of the fee does not exceed five shillings, by payment in cash at the said Office, or by sending a cheque or postal order to the said Office. 5. Payment of a fee in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture under The Act may, in the case of a person who, at the date of payment is outside Ireland, be made either— (
  6. a)by sending by post to the said Office a Post Office Money Order payable to the Paymaster-General at the General Post Office, Dublin, and crossed "/& Co./" or a Banker's draft or a cheque guaranteed by the bank on which it is drawn payable to the credit of the Account of the Paymaster-General; or (
  7. b)if the amount of the fee does not exceed five shillings, by payment in cash at the said Office or by sending a cheque or postal order to the said Office. 6. Payment of a fee in the Office of the Principal Chemist of the State Laboratories may be made by sending by post to the said Office a postal order or a Post Office Money Order payable to the Paymaster-General at the General Post Office, Dublin, and crossed "/& Co./" or a Banker's draft or cheque payable to the credit of the Account of the Paymaster-General. 7. All fees payable under the Act shall be accounted for, paid into or disposed of for the benefit of the Exchequer in such manner as the Minister for Finance may direct. 8. These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1933.
