WILD BIRDS (LONGFORD) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1932. WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(2)of section 2 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), that the Minister for Justice may by Order made on the application of the council of a county or a county borough, extend or vary in such county or county borough the close time in respect of all wild birds, or any particular kinds or kind of wild birds and may by any subsequent order made on the like application amend or revoke any such first-mentioned order : AND WHEREAS by the Wild Birds (Longford) Order, 1931, the Minister for Justice ordered that the close time in the County of Longford in respect of the wild birds mentioned in the said Order should be extended to the whole of the period between the 1st day of January and the 31st day of December (both days inclusive) in every year : AND WHEREAS the Council of the County of Longford has applied to the Minister for Justice to make an order amending in the manner hereinafter appearing the said Wild Birds (Longford) Order, 1931 : NOW, I, JAMES GEOGHEGAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section
(2)of section 2 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (Longford) (Amendment) Order, 1932. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. 3. Paragraph 3 of the Wild Birds (Longford) Order, 1931, is hereby amended in the following respects and shall be construed and have effect accordingly, that is to say— (
- a)by the substitution of the word "March" for the word "January" now contained therein ; and (
- b)by the substitution of the expression "30th day of November" for the expression "31st day of December" now contained therein. GIVEN under my Seal of Office, this 22nd day of December, 1932.
