AIR NAVIGATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1934. WHEREAS it is enacted by section 1 of the Air Navigation Act, 1920, as adapted by the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), that the Governor-General of the Irish Free State, on the advice of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State, may make such Orders as appear to him necessary for carrying out the Convention relating to the regulation of aerial navigation done at Paris on the 13th day of October, 1919, and for giving effect thereto or to any of the provisions thereof, or to any amendment which may be made under article thirty-four thereof : AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section

(2)of section 17 of the said Air Navigation Act, 1920, as so adapted, that an Order made under the said Act by the Governor-General of the Irish Free State on the advice of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State may be revoked or varied by a subsequent Order made in the same manner : AND WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Air Navigation (General) Regulations, 1930 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 26 of 1930), made under the said Air Navigation Act, 1920. NOW, I, Donal Buckley, Governor-General of the Irish Free State, acting on the advice of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State, and by virtue of the powers conferred on me by sub-section
(2)of section 17 of the Air Navigation Act, 1920, as adapted by the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby make the following regulations :— 1 Short title.
  1. These regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Air Navigation (Amendment) Regulations,
  2. 2 Interpretation.
  3. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January,
  4. 3 Amendment of Air Navigation (General) Regulations,
  6. Regulation 40 of the Air Navigation (General) Regulations, 1930 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 26 of 1930), is hereby amended by the insertion of the word " State " in lieu of the words "of the Contracting States" now contained therein, and the said Regulations shall be construed and have effect accordingly.
