AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1934. No. 5. MUSK RATS (NOTIFICATION BY OCCUPIERS OF LAND AND RETURNS) REGULATIONS, 1933. WHEREAS it is enacted by section 6 of the Musk Rats Act, 1933 (No. 16 of 1933), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order make regulations in relation to any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed: AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(1)of section 34 of the said Act that it shall be the duty of the occupier of any land who knows that any musk rats, not being musk rats kept by him under a musk rat licence, are to be found on such land to give forthwith to the Minister for Agriculture notice in the prescribed form and containing the prescribed particulars of such knowledge: AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(1)of section 27 of the said Act that the Minister for Agriculture may by order make regulations in relation to all or any of the following matters, that is to say:— (
- a)the returns to be made by holders of purchasers' licences; (b)the times at which such returns are to be made; (
- c)the forms in which such returns are to be made: NOW, THEREFORE, I, Séamas O Riain, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Musk Rats Act, 1933 (No. 16 of 1933), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order and make the following regulations, that is to say: 1. These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Musk Rats (Notification by Occupiers of Land and Returns) Regulations, 1933. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. 3. The notice to be given, pursuant to sub-section
(1)of section 34 of the Musk Rats Act, 1933 (No. 16 of 1933), to the Minister for Agriculture by the occupier of any land who knows that any musk rats, not being musk rats kept by him under a musk rat licence, are to be found on such land, shall be in the Form No. 1 in the Schedule hereto and shall contain the particulars asked for or otherwise indicated in such form. 4. On or before the seventh day of every month every holder of a purchaser's licence shall furnish to the Minister for Agriculture a return, in the Form No. 2 in the Schedule hereto or to the like effect, of (
- a)the number of pelts of musk rats on hand at the beginning of the preceding month; (
- b)the number of pelts of musk rats purchased during the preceding month and the names and addresses of the vendors; (
- c)the number of pelts of musk rats disposed of during the preceding month, the manner of such disposition and, if sold, the names and addresses of the purchasers; (
- d)the number of pelts of musk rats on hand at the end of the preceding month and the place of storage thereof. Given under my Seal of Office this 11th day of December, 1933.
