AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 160. CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 1) (AMENDMENT No. 2) ORDER, 1935. WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that the Executive Council may at any time by order amend or revoke any quota order or other order previously made under the said Act, including an order made under the said Section 11 amending a previous order : AND WHEREAS on the 31st day of August, 1934, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 3 of the said Act, made the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 230 of 1934) : AND WHEREAS on the 22nd day of March, 1935, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the said Section 11, made the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) (Amendment) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 34 of 1935), whereby the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) Order, 1934, was amended by restricting the meaning of the expression " pneumatic tyre " in the last-mentioned order to outer covers only : NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 11 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) (Amendment No. 2) Order, 1935. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. 3. Paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Control of Imports (Quota No. 1) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 230 of 1934), is hereby amended by the deletion of the following words, figures, and signs now contained therein, that is to say :— 4·50 inches X 17 inches. 4·50 " X 18 " 4·50 " X 19 " 4·50 " X 21 " 4·75 " X 18 " 4·75 " X 19 " 5·00 " X 17 " 5·00 " X 18 " 5·00 " X 19 " 5·00 " X 20 " 5·25 " X 17 " 5·25 " X 19 " 5·25 " X 20 " 5·25 " X 21 " 5·50 " X 17 " and the said Order shall be construed and have effect accordingly. 4.
