AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1935. No. 537. CATTLE AND SHEEP (RETURN BY UNREGISTERED SLAUGHTERER) ORDER, 1935. WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(1)of Section 4 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), that the Minister for Agriculture may by order make regulations prescribing any matter or thing which is referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed: AND WHEREAS by Section 3 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), the power conferred on the said Minister by the said Section 4 is extended and applied to the making of regulations for the purpose of prescribing any matter or thing referred to in the last-mentioned Act as prescribed or to be prescribed: AND WHEREAS the matters or things prescribed by this Order are referred to in the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 , as prescribed. NOW I, SÉAMAS O RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section
(1)of Section 4 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934) as extended and applied by Section 3 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do by this Order make the following regulations:—
- This Order may be cited as the Cattle and Sheep (Return by Unregistered Slaughterer) Order,
- The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.
- In this Order the expression "the Minister" means the Minister for Agriculture. 4.
(1)The return which is to be made and sent to the Minister under sub-section
(2)of Section 14 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), by every person who is liable or is believed by the Minister to be liable under the said section to pay to the Minister a levy shall be in the Form S.C.S.7A set forth in the Schedule hereto.
(2)Every such return shall be sent to the Minister by being sent by post addressed to the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Dublin. SCHEDULE. AN ROINN TALMHAIOCHTA (DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE) SLAUGHTER OF CATTLE AND SHEEP (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1935 .
