No. 602. BEEF SUPPLY (PRICE TO RECIPIENTS) REGULATIONS, 1935. WHEREAS by virtue of section 3 of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935), the Minister for Agriculture is empowered to make by order regulations prescribing any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed : AND WHEREAS the matter prescribed by these regulations, namely, the rate per pound at which the price payable (under Part IX of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), as amended by the said Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 ) by recipients for beef is to be calculated, is referred to in the said Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 , as prescribed : AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section

(4)of section 19 of the said Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment) Act, 1935 , that regulations prescribing the said matter shall not be made without the consent of the Minister for Finance : NOW, I, Séamas O Riain, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Acts, 1934 and 1935, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, order and make the following Regulations, that is to say :—
  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Beef Supply (Price to Recipients) Regulations,
  3. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.
  4. The rate per pound at which the price payable (under Part IX of the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act, 1934 (No. 42 of 1934), as amended by the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep (Amendment)Act, 1935 (No. 37 of 1935)) by recipients for beef is to be calculated shall be two pence per pound.
