The Revenue Commissioner, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:— 1. The exporter or shipper of Fresh Herrings intended for exportation on or before the 31st October, 1935, shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such fresh herrings before shipment or exportation. 2. The entry required under Paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise a Specification in the approved form, duly completed, in duplicate. 3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon, (
4. a)the name and address of the consignor of the fresh herrings; (
5. b)the name and address of the consignee of the fresh herrings; and (
6. c)the name and address of the owner of the fresh herrings; and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making the entry that the particulars in the entry are true and correctly stated. 4. The clearance required under Paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order. 5. This Order shall come into operation on the 10th day of September, 1935. 6. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the Interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924. 7. EXPORTATION OF FRESH HERRINGS. 1. Collectors and Officers concerned are informed that the Commissioners have made an Order (see Appendix) dated 10th September, 1935, under Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation act, 1876, requiring due entry and clearance before shipment or exportation of fresh herrings exported on or before the 31st October, 1935. 2. The instructions contained in paragraphs 2 to 5 of General Order No. 82/1934 are, mutatis mutandis, to be applied. 3. Copies of a Public Notice regarding the exportation of fresh herrings are being printed and will be circulated for distribution.
