ALIENS (NAME LICENCE) REGULATIONS, 1936. WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(1)of Section 11 of the Aliens Act, 1935 (No. 14 of 1935), that the Minister for Justice may by order make regulations in relation to any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed, but that no such regulation shall be made in relation to the amount of a fee without the consent of the Minister for Finance : AND WHEREAS the matters or things to which these Regulations relate are matters and things referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed : NOW, I, P. J. RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Aliens Act, 1935 (No. 14 of 1935), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling and, in so far as these regulations relate to the amount of a fee, with the consent of the Minister for Finance testified by his signature hereto, do hereby order and make the following regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Aliens (Name Licence) Regulations, 1936. 2. In these Regulations— the expression " the Act " means the Aliens Act, 1935 (No. 14 of 1935) ; the expression " the Minister " means the Minister for Justice. 3.—
(1)Every application under section 9 of the act by an alien who desires:— (
- a)to continue to use after the 1st day of April, 1936, a name which he is prohibited by section 8 of the act from so continuing to use, or (
- b)to assume or use after the 1st day of April, 1936, a name which he is prohibited by section 8 of the act from so assuming or using, or (
- c)to carry on or continue to carry on after the 1st day of April, 1936, a trade or business (either alone or in partnership with another person or other persons) under a style or name under which he is prohibited by section 8 of the act from so continuing to carry on such business, shall be in the form in the Schedule hereto or in a form to the like effect and shall contain the particulars required by the said form.
(2)Every such application shall— (
- a)be lodged with the Minister by being left with or sent by post to the Secretary, Department of Justice, Dublin, and (
