No. 71. THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1936. DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH. THE THERAPEUTIC SUBSTANCES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1936. The Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Therapeutic Substances Act, 1932 , does by this his Order, after consultation with the Therapeutic Substances Advisory Committee, order as follows:— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Therapeutic Substances (Amendment) Regulations, 1936, and shall be read and construed as one with the Therapeutic Substances (Saorstát Eireann) Regulations, 1934 and 1935, and may be cited together therewith as the Therapeutic Substances Regulations, 1934 to 1936. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1936. 3. From and after the commencement of this Order the Therapeutic Substances (Saorstát Eireann) Regulations, 1934, shall be amended by the substitution for Article 1 of Part II (D) of the second Schedule to the said Regulations of the following new Article, that is to say:— 1. Tuberculins for veterinary use are classified in three groups:— (
  4. a)Tuberculin prepared from mammalian type of Bacillus tuberculosis grown on a fluid nutrient medium and subsequently prepared in the manner laid down for "Old Tuberculin" in the second Schedule, Part II (C) 2 of these Regulations, or by such methods as may be approved by the Minister. The proper name of the preparation is "Veterinary Old Tuberculin". (
  5. b)Tuberculin Bouillon filtrate as defined in the second Schedule, Part II (C) 3 of these Regulations. (
  6. c)Tuberculin prepared from the avian type of the Bacillus tuberculosis grown on a nutrient fluid medium and subsequently prepared in the manner laid down for "Old Tuberculin" in the second Schedule, Part II (C) 2 of these Regulations, or by such methods as may be approved by the Minister. The proper name of the preparation is Tuberculin with the Suffix A.
