WHEREAS by sub-section

(2)of section 1 of the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1935 (in this Order referred to as " the Act "), it is provided that the Act should come into operation on such day or days as the Minister for Local Government and Public Health should by Order fix in that behalf and that the said Minister may fix different days for the coming into operation of the Act in the County Borough of Dublin and the Borough of Dun Laoghaire, and in the remainder of Saorstat Eireann respectively : AND WHEREAS by the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1935 (Dublin County Borough and Dun Laoghaire Borough) (Date of Commencement) Order, 1936, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health did fix the 1st day of February, 1937, for the coming into operation of the Act in the County Borough of Dublin and the Borough of Dun Laoghaire and the Act is accordingly in operation in the said County Borough and Borough : NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the power conferred on him by the said sub-section hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—
  1. This Order may be cited as the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1935 (Date of Commencement) (No. 2) Order,
  3. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply for the purposes of the interpretation of this Order in the same manner in which it applies for the purposes of the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.
  4. The Act (being as aforesaid in operation in the County Borough of Dublin and the Borough of Dun Laoghaire) shall come into operation in the remainder of Saorstát Eireann on the 3rd day of August,
