No. 69. EMERGENCY IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (NO. 124) ORDER, 1937. WHEREAS it is enacted by section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), that the Executive Council may, if and whenever they think proper, do by order certain things mentioned in that section and, amongst others, amend, vary, or revoke any order previously made under that section: NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 124) Order, 1937. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. 3. The Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 48) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 237 of 1934), the subject-matter of which is a duty of customs on certain cordage and which was made by the Executive Council under section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), and as amended by paragraph 4 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 76) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 543 of 1935), similarly made is hereby revoked as on and from the 15th day of April, 1937. 4. The Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 77) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 544 of 1935) made by the Executive Council under section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), is hereby amended as on and from the 15th day of April, 1937, by the deletion from the Schedule to that Order of reference number 1 (the subject-matter of which is a duty on certain racquets and component parts of racquets), and accordingly the said Order shall have effect, in relation to articles imported into Saorstát Eireann on or after the 15th day of April, 1937, as if the said reference number 1 were not contained in the said Schedule.
