AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1938. No. 214. UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE (DATE OF PUBLICATION OF CENSUS) ORDER, 1938. WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection
(1)of section 2 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), that for the purposes therein mentioned the Minister for Industry and Commerce shall, whenever a census of population has been taken, certify by order the date of publication of the result of such census : AND WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection
(4)of the said section 2 that that section shall have and be deemed to have had effect as on and from the 1st day of January, 1936, and shall accordingly apply and have effect in relation to the census of population taken in the year 1936 : NOW, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 2 of the Unemployment Assistance (Amendment) Act, 1938 (No. 2 of 1938), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—
- This Order may be cited as the Unemployment Assistance (Date of Publication of Census) Order,
- The date of publication of the result of the census of population taken in the year 1936 is hereby certified to be the 20th day of June,
