AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1938. No. 88. NORTHERN IRELAND BIRTHS REGISTER (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1938. WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection
(6)of Section 25 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 (No. 13 of 1935), that the Minister for External Affairs may by order make regulations in respect of (amongst other matters) the form of the Northern Ireland births register: AND WHEREAS in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said subsection
(6), the said Minister made the Northern Ireland Births Register Regulations, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 148 of 1935): NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for External Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection
(6)of Section 25 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 (No. 13 of 1935), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders and makes the following Regulations, that is to say:— 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Northern Ireland Births Register (Amendment) Regulations, 1938.
(2)These Regulations shall be construed as one with the Northern Ireland Births Register Regulations, 1935 (No. 148 of 1935), (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations), and the Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Northern Ireland Births Register Regulations, 1935 and 1938. 2.—The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. 3.—
(1)The Northern Ireland births register shall be in the form set forth in the Schedule hereto.
(2)Regulation 4 of, and the Schedule to, the Principal Regulations are hereby revoked. SCHEDULE. NORTHERN IRELAND BIRTHS REGISTER. DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS, DUBLIN.
