LEITRIM COUNTY SCHEME (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1939. DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH. To the Council of the Administrative County of Leitrim ; to Daithi O'Caoimh, the person exercising and performing the powers and duties of the Leitrim Board of Health and Public Assistance ; and to all others whom it may concern : WHEREAS in pursuance of Section 5 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as the Act of 1923), the Minister for Local Government did by the Leitrim County Scheme Order, 1923, amend and modify the existing County Scheme relating to the County of Leitrim as set out in the First Schedule to the Act of 1923, in such way as to bring it into conformity with the provisions set forth in the Schedule to the said Order and did substitute the said provisions for the provisions of the said existing County Scheme (which said first-mentioned provisions are in this Order referred to as the Leitrim County Scheme) : AND WHEREAS in pursuance of Section 5 of the Act of 1923, the Leitrim County Scheme was further amended by the County Schemes (General Amendment) Order, 1925, the County Schemes (General Amendment) Order, 1933 and the County Schemes (General Amendment) Order, 1939 : AND WHEREAS the Leitrim County Scheme has come into operation, and the Minister for Local Government and Public Health deems it necessary further to amend the said Leitrim County Scheme in manner hereinafter appearing and has given to the Council of the Administrative County of Leitrim, being the Council of the County to which the said Leitrim County Scheme relates, one month's previous notice of his intention to make such amendment and has taken into consideration any representation which has been made by the said Council within such month in respect of such amendment : NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 5 of the Act of 1923, as amended by the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) (Amendment) Act, 1924 , and of all other powers in this behalf enabling him, does by this his Order, order and direct as follows, that is to say : 1. The Leitrim County Scheme shall be and is hereby amended as follows :— (
4. a)Paragraph (
5. c)of sub-article (
6. i)of article 15 of the said Scheme shall have effect as if the words " and cases of infectious and contagious diseases " were omitted therefrom. (
7. b)The following paragraph shall be inserted in the said Scheme after paragraph (
8. c)of sub-article (
9. i)of article 15 thereof namely :— (
10. d)A District Fever Hospital at Carrick-on-Shannon for the treatment of infectious and contagious diseases. 2. This Order may be cited as the Leitrim County Scheme (Amendment) Order, 1939, and shall come into operation on the date hereof.
