WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section
(1)of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933) that the Minister for Justice may by Order direct that any particular prison shall be closed as on and from a specified date : NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section
(1)of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—
- This Order may be cited as the Galway Prison Closing Order,
- The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.
- The Prison at Galway in the County of Galway shall be closed as on and from the 1st day of May,
- Given under my hand and Seal this 28th day of March,
