CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 13, SIXTEENTH PERIOD) (AMENDMENT AND SECOND ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1941. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Sixteenth Period) (Amendment and Second Additional Quota) Order, 1941. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Sixteenth Period) Order, 1941 ( S. R. & O. No. 125 of 1941 ), is hereby amended by the deletion in paragraph 3 of the words and figures " 31st day of October, 1941 " and the substitution in lieu thereof of the words and figures " 30th day of April, 1942 ". 4. The quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Sixteenth Period) Order, 1941, as amended by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13, Sixteenth Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1941, and this Order, in respect of the said sixteenth quota period is hereby increased by seven hundred thousand square yards of the woven tissues to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 59 of 1935 ), applies, to the intent that the said seven hundred thousand square yards shall be an additional quota in respect of the said sixteenth quota period, and the total quota in respect of the said sixteenth quota period shall be one million seven hundred thousand square yards of the woven tissues to which the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935, applies. 5. It is hereby directed that, of the additional quota appointed by the next preceding paragraph of this Order, six hundred and eighty thousand square yards shall be woven tissues which are shown, to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners, to have been manufactured either in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or in the Dominion of Canada. 6. Every application made in relation to the additional quota specified in this Order for a licence to import any quantity of the articles to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935, applies, shall be made within seven days after the date of this Order.
