Act Referred to Seeds and Fertilisers Supply Act, 1942 No. 11 of 1942 Number 7 of 1944. SEEDS AND FERTILISERS SUPPLY ACT, 1944. AN ACT TO APPLY THE SEEDS AND FERTILISERS SUPPLY ACT, 1942 , TO THE PERIOD WHICH BEGAN ON THE 1st DAY OF AUGUST, 1943, AND WILL END ON THE 31st DAY OF JULY, 1944, AND TO VALIDATE CERTAIN ORDERS MADE, SANCTIONS GIVEN, AND THINGS DONE BEFORE THE PASSING OF THIS ACT. [16th March, 1944.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— The Principal Act. 1.—In this Act, the expression “the Principal Act” means the Seeds and Fertilisers Supply Act, 1942 (No. 11 of 1942). Application of Principal Act to period which began on 1st August, 1943, and will end on 31st July, 1944. 2.—The Principal Act shall apply to the period which began on the 1st day of August, 1943, and will end on the 31st day of July, 1944, in like manner as it applied to the period which began on the 1st day of August, 1941, and ended on the 31st day of July, 1942, and the expression “the period to which this Act applies” shall throughout the Principal Act be construed and have effect accordingly. Validation of certain orders. 3.—All orders made, sanctions given, and things done by the Minister for Local Government and Public Health before the passing of this Act in relation to the provision and sale of goods under the Principal Act as applied by this Act by the councils of counties or in relation to the making and carrying out by the councils of counties of schemes authorised by the Principal Act as applied by this Act for the giving of guarantees by such councils shall be and shall be deemed always to have been legal and valid for all purposes. Short title. 4.—This Act may be cited as the Seeds and Fertilisers Supply Act, 1944.
