AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1946. No. 201. ROAD TRANSPORT (ROAD TRANSPORT ACT, 1932) REGULATIONS, 1946. I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Road Transport Act, 1932 (No. 2 of 1932), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following Regulations :— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations, 1946.
(2)These Regulations and the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations, 1932 and 1933, may be cited together as the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations, 1932 to 1946.
(3)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1946. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. 3. The Third Schedule to the Road Transport Regulations, 1932 (S. R. & O., No. 26 of 1932), is hereby amended as follows :— (
- a)by the deletion of Scale B and the substitution of the following :— SCALE B. Gradations of Distance Maximum charge for each passenger per mile Treatment of Fractions Other conditions d. Stages not exceeding 10 miles: 1¾ Any fraction of a mile, as a mile ; any fraction of a penny as a penny. — Stages exceeding 10 but not exceeding 30 miles : 15/8 Any fraction of a mile as a mile ; any fraction of 3d. as 3d. The maximum charge not to exceed that for 31 miles. Stages exceeding 30 but not exceeding 60 miles : 1½ Any fraction of a mile as a mile ; any fraction of 6d. as 6d. The maximum charge not to exceed that for 61 miles. Stages exceeding 60 miles : 13/8 Any fraction of a mile as a mile ; any fraction of 6d. as 6d. — (
- b)by the deletion of Scale E and the substitution of the following :— SCALE E. For any Parcel or other article of merchandise whose weight For any distance not exceeding 15 miles For any distance exceeding 15 miles but not exceeding 30 miles For any distance exceeding 30 miles but not exceeding 50 miles For any distance exceeding 50 miles but not exceeding 75 miles For any distance exceeding 75 miles but not exceeding 100 miles For any distance exceeding 100 miles s. d. s. d. s. d. s. d. s. d. s. d.
