WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS (VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTORS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1946. The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph (
- i)of sub-section
(1)of Section 65, by sub-section
(1)of Section 70, by sub-section
(1)and sub-section
(2)of Section 71 and by Section 72 of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1935 (No. 29 of 1935) as amended by the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1937 (No. 11 of 1937), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, by this, his Order, makes the following Regulations :—
- These Regulations may be cited as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Voluntary Contributors) (Amendment) Regulations,
- In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Voluntary Contributors) Regulations, 1938 (S. R. & O., No. 253 of 1938).
- Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the deletion therefrom of the definition of " Contribution Year " and the substitution therefor of the following : " Contribution Year " means any period commencing on the twenty-seventh Monday in any year and terminating on the day preceding the twenty-seventh Monday in the next year.
- These Regulations shall come into operation and have effect as on and from the 8th day of July,

(1)These Regulations shall be construed as one with the Principal Regulations.
(2)The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Voluntary Contributors) Regulations, 1938 and 1946.
