(1)of section 36 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 (No. 13 of 1939), that whenever while Part V of the said Act is in force the Government is satisfied that the ordinary courts are inadequate to secure the effective administration of justice and the preservation of public peace and order in relation to offences under any particular enactment, the Government may by order declare that offences under that particular enactment shall be scheduled offences for the purposes of the said Part of the said Act : AND WHEREAS Part V of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 , is in force : AND WHEREAS the Government is satisfied that the ordinary courts are inadequate to secure the effective administration of Justice and the preservation of public peace and order in relation to the offences specified in the Appendix hereto : NOW, the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 36 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 (No. 13 of 1939), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—
- This Order may be cited as the Offences Against the State (Scheduled Offences) (No. 4) Order,
- It is hereby declared that the offences specified in the Appendix hereto shall be scheduled offences for the purposes of Part V of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 (No. 13 of 1939). APPENDIX Offences under section 6 of the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), by the contravention of a provision of any one or more of the following orders:— Emergency Powers (Control of Fuel) Order, 1941 (S.
