SOCIAL WELFARE SCHEMES (CASH SUPPLEMENTS) ORDER, 1947 (FIRST AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1947. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows : 1.—

(1)This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Schemes (Cash Supplements) Order, 1947 (First Amendment) Order, 1947.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of July, 1947. 2. The Social Welfare Schemes (Cash Supplements) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 76 of 1947 ), is hereby amended by the subsstitution in the Second Schedule for the words " The supplement shall be at the weekly rate of 2s. 6d. " of the following :— " The supplement shall be— (
  1. a)in case the recipient is not resident in a schedule area—at the weekly rate of 2s. 6d. (
  2. b)in case the recipient is resident in a scheduled area and was in receipt during the week ended on the 3rd day of July, 1947, of one or more than one food voucher issued under Article 10A or 12 of the Emergency Powers (Food Allowances) Order, 1941 (S. R. & O. No. 412 of 1941). in respect of a child or children—at the weekly rate of 7s. 6d. together with, where he was in receipt during the said week of two or more than two such food vouchers, 2s. 6d. in respect of each voucher in excess of one, (
