AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1947. No. 341. RETURNING OFFICERS' (BOROUGH AND COUNTY CONSTITUENCIES) CHARGES ORDER, 1947. The Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 25 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923), and section 4 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1946 (No. 31 of 1946) and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :— 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Order, 1947.
(2)The Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Order, 1937 ( S. R. & O. No. 143 of 1937 ), the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1938 ( S. R. & O. No. 142 of 1938 ), and this Order may be cited together as the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Orders, 1937 to
- The Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Charges Order, 1937, and the Returning Officers' (Borough and County Constituencies) Bye-Election Charges Order, 1938, shall have effect subject to the following changes in subparagraph (a) of paragraph
(3)of Section B of Part II of the Schedule to the first-mentioned of those Orders : (I) after " all expenses of the Returning Officer " there shall be inserted " (including, in particular, expenses incurred in complying with section 4 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act, 1946 ) " (II) for the reference to 3s. 6d. there shall be substituted a reference to 7s. 6d., (III) for the reference to 3s. 0d. there shall be substituted a reference to 7s. 0d.
