WILD BIRDS (COUNTY KERRY) ORDER, 1947. WHEREAS the County Manager of the County of Kerry has applied to the Minister for Justice to make an order prohibiting in each of the years 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952 in the County of Kerry the taking or destroying of the eggs of any of the following wild birds that is to say : golden eagle, sea eagle, peregrine falcon, merlin, kestrel harriers (all kinds), raven, owls (all kinds), kingfisher, chough, siskin, goldfinch, hoopoe, phalaropes (all kinds), terns (all kinds) and petrels (all kinds) because of the rarity of those birds and because of their usefulness to farmers : NOW, I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Wild Birds Protection Act, 1930 (No. 16 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby, because of the rarity of the birds concerned and their usefulness to farmers, order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Birds (County Kerry) Order, 1947. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. No person shall in any part of the County of Kerry take or destroy in any of the years 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1952, the eggs of any of the following wild birds : golden eagle, sea eagle, peregrine falcon, merlin, kestrel, harriers (all kinds), raven, owls (all kinds), kingfisher, chough, siskin, goldfinch, hoopoe, phalaropes (all kinds), terns (all kinds) and petrels (all kinds).
