AmendmentsLeasuithe The Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 14 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby, with the approval of the Government, makes the following Regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Gárda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1947, and these Regulations, the Gárda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1925 to 1936, and the Gárda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1942, may be cited as the Gárda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1925 to 1947. 2. In these Regulations, the expression " the Principal Regulations " means the Gárda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1925. 3. Regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations shall, after the making of these regulations, have effect as if the reference in the first paragraph to Third Grade Superintendents were a reference to Second Grade Superintendents and as if the second paragraph were deleted.
