AmendmentsLeasuithe STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1947. No. 82. ROAD TRANSPORT (ROAD TRANSPORT ACT, 1932) REGULATIONS, 1947. I, Seán F. Lemass, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Road Transport Act, 1932 (No. 2 of 1932), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following Regulations :— 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations, 1947.
(2)These Regulations and the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations, 1932 and 1933, may be cited together as the Road Transport ( Road Transport Act, 1932 ) Regulations 1932 to 1947. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. 3. The Third Schedule to the Road Transport Regulations, 1932 (S. R. & O., No. 26 of 1932), is hereby amended as follows :— (
- a)by the substitution for Scale B of the following :— SCALE B. Gradations of Distance Maximum charge for each passenger per mile Treatment of Fractions Other Conditions Stages not exceeding 10 miles. 1¾d. Any fraction of a mile, as a mile; any frac- of a penny as a penny. — Stages exceeding 10 but not exceeding 30 miles. 15/8d. Any fraction of a mile, as a mile; any fraction of 3d. as 3d. The maximum charge not to exceed that for 31 miles. Stages exceeding 30 miles. 1½d. Any fraction of a mile, as a mile; any fraction of 6d. as 6d. — (
- b)by the substitution for Scale E of the following :— SCALE E. For any Parcel or other article of merchandise whose weight For any distance not exceeding 15 miles For any distance exceeding 15 miles but not exceeding 30 miles For any distance exceeding 30 miles but not exceeding 50 miles For any distance exceeding 50 miles but not exceeding 75 miles For any distance exceeding 75 miles but not exceeding 100 miles For any distance exceeding 100 miles s. d s. d. s. d. s. d. s. d. s. d.
