INSURANCE (INTERMITTENT UNEMPLOYMENT) ACT, 1942 (AMENDMENT OF RATES OF SUPPLEMENTARY BENEFIT) REGULATIONS, 1947, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL WELFARE ON THE 18TH DAY OF MARCH, 1947. The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the joint operation of subsection

(1)of section 46 of the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), and the Social Welfare (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 1) Order, 1947, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, and with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance, hereby makes the following regulations :— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (Amendment of Rates of Supplementary Benefit) Regulations, 1947.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1947. 2. The Third Schedule to the Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Act, 1942 (No. 7 of 1942), is hereby amended— (
  1. a)by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 1/6 for the rate of 1/-, and (
  2. b)by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 1/- for the rate of 7 ½d., and (
  3. c)by substituting an hourly rate of supplementary benefit of 5d. for the rate of 3d. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Social Welfare, this 18th day of March, 1947. (Signed) D. O'DONOVAN,Secretary, Department of Social Welfare. A person authorised under Section 15
