I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Powers (Kerosene Rationing) Order, 1943 (Domestic Users) Order, 1948. 2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Emergency Powers (Kerosene Rationing) Order, 1943 (S. R. & O. No. 272 of 1943). 3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order. 4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order. 5. The period of twelve months beginning on the 1st day of September, 1948, shall be a ration period for the purposes of the Principal Order. 6. For the purposes of the Principal Order, the ration of a domestic user of kerosene during the month of September, 1948, or any subsequent ration month shall be one gallon of kerosene. 7.—

(1)A kerosene ration card authorising the domestic user of kerosene to whom it was issued to be registered in a particular manner during the ration period current at the making of this Order shall be sufficient authority for the registration of that person in that manner during the ration period prescribed by this Order.
(2)A domestic user of kerosene who, immediately before the ration period prescribed by this Order, is deemed to be registered as a kerosene customer at a licensed retail kerosene shop in respect of any premises shall, so long thereafter as his kerosene ration card is retained at the shop, be deemed to be so registered during the said ration period.
