FLOUR AND BREAD (RATIONING) ORDER, 1946 (SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS) (No. 6) ORDER, 1948. I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Supplemental Provisions) (No. 6) Order, 1948. 2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (S. R. & O. No. 588 of 1946), as amended by the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (First Amendment) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 56 of 1947 ), the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Third Amendment) Order, 1947 (S. R. & O. No. 535 of 1947), and the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Fourth Amendment) Order, 1948. 3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order. 4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order. 5. For the purposes of the Principal Order— (
- a)the period (in this Order referred to as the second ration period) of twenty-six weeks commencing on the 27th day of November, 1948, shall be a ration period; (
- b)pages 8 and 9 marked " Plúr nó Aráran—Flour or Bread " of a general ration book shall be the registration pages applicable to the second ration period ; (
- c)each coupon forming part of the pages referred to in paragraph (
- b)of this Article and marked with a number specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order shall be a flour or bread coupon, but shall be valid only for the ration week commencing on the appropriate date set out in the second column of that Schedule ; (
- d)the supplementary registration pages applicable to the second ration period shall be those entitled " Supplementary Registration Page for Flour or Bread " and containing coupons marked FB. 1 to FB. 26 ; (
- e)page 13 of a general ration book containing coupons marked " Milseóga Plúir—Flour Confectionery " shall be a flour confectionery page ; (
- f)each coupon referred to in paragraph (
- e)of this Article shall be a flour confectionery coupon, but shall be valid only for any ration week in the second ration period ; (
- g)the exchange value of a flour confectionery coupon shall be ½-lb. of flour confectionery. 6. The Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Supplemental Provisions) (No. 5) Order, 1948 (S.I., No. 242 of 1948), is hereby amended by the substitution in paragraph (
- b)of Article 5 of the expression " the 26th day of November, 1948 " for the expression " the 15th day of January, 1949." SCHEDULE.
