HOUSING (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1949. ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS Section 1. Amendment of the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1948. 2. Short title and collective citation. Act Referred to Housing (Amendment) Act, 1948 No. 1 of 1948 Number 23 of 1949. HOUSING (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1949. AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE HOUSING (FINANCIAL AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACTS, 1932 TO 1948. [30th July, 1949] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— Amendment of the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1948. 1.—The Housing (Amendment) Act, 1948 (No. 1 of 1948), is hereby amended in the following respects: (
- a)the reference to the 1st day of April, 1950, contained in subsection
(1)of section 16, subsection
(2)of section 19 and subsection
(1)of section 20 shall be construed as a reference to the 1st day of April, 1952; (b) the reference to the sum of five hundred and eighty thousand pounds contained in subsection
(2)of section 26 shall be construed as a reference to one million, seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds. Short title and collective citation. 2.—
(1)This Act may be cited as the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1949.
(2)The Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Acts, 1932 to 1948, and this Act may be cited together as the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Acts, 1932 to 1949.
