AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 358 of 1949. NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (SUBSIDIARY EMPLOYMENTS) SPECIAL ORDER, 1949. THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE (SUBSIDIARY EMPLOYMENTS) SPECIAL ORDER, 1949, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL WELFARE UNDER SUB-SECTION
(2)OF SECTION I OF, AND PARAGRAPH (i) OF PART II OF THE FIRST SCHEDULE TO, THE NATIONAL INSURANCE ACT, 1911. By virtue of the powers conferred on him by sub-section
(2)of Section I and paragraph (i) of Part II of the First Schedule to the National Insurance Act, 1911, (in this Order called the Principal Act) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister for Social Welfare hereby makes the following Order :—
- This Order may be cited as the National Health Insurance (Subsidiary Employments) Order,
- The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order.
- The employment of the class set forth in the First Schedule hereto is hereby specified as being of such a nature that it is ordinarily adopted as subsidiary employment only and not as the principal means of livelihood.
- Persons engaged in the class of employment specified in the Second Schedule hereto shall be included amongst the persons employed within the meaning of Part I of the Principal Act. FIRST SCHEDULE. CLASS OF EMPLOYMENT SPECIFIED AS BEING OF A SUBSIDIARY NATURE ONLY AND, THEREFORE, EXCLUDED FROM BEING EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THE MEANING OF PART I OF THE PRINCIPAL ACT. Employment, involving part-time service only, at Race Meetings by the Racing Board. SECOND SCHEDULE. PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE FOLLOWING CLASS OF EMPLOYMENT SPECIFIED IN THE FIRST SCHEDULE HERETO ARE INCLUDED AMONGST THE PERSONS EMPLOYED WITHIN THE MEANING OF PART I OF THE PRINCIPAL ACT. Any person employed at Race Meetings by the Racing Board who has no other occupation. GIVEN under my Official Seal this 9th day of December,
