AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 74 of 1949. VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ACT, 1930 (EXTENSION OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION) ORDER, 1949. I, RISTEÁRD UA MAOLCHATHA, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection
(2)of section 4 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling hereby order as follows:—
- This Order may be cited as the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (Extension of Technical Education) Order,
- This Order shall apply in relation to every vocational education area except the county boroughs of Dublin and Cork.
- The expression " technical education " shall for the purposes of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), include instruction in the subjects connected with music which are specified in the Schedule to this Order. SCHEDULE. Playing of musical instruments. Vocal music, including voice training, scale memorising, ear training, sight reading and choral training. Formation and training of choirs and orchestras.
