No. 92/1950 - Health (Officers Age Limit) Order, 1950. S.I. No. 92/1950 - Health (Officers Age Limit) Order, 1950. AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 92 of 1950. HEALTH (OFFICERS AGE LIMIT) ORDER, 1950. WHEREAS the Minister for Health is the appropriate Minister for the purpose of Part II of the Local Government Act, 1941 , in relation to the offices to which this Order applies. NOW THEREFORE the Minister for Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 23 of the Local Government Act, 1941 , and of every other power in this behalf enabling him by this his Order declares and orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Health (Officers Age Limit) Order, 1950. 2. The age of sixty-five years shall be the age limit for : (
- a)(
- i)any office under a local authority of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, and (
- ii)any office in a health institution within the meaning of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947), or a district institution within the meaning of the Public Assistance Act, 1939 (No. 27 of 1939), or a district mental hospital or auxiliary mental hospital within the meaning of the Mental Treatment Act, 1945 (No. 19 of 1945), of the classes specified in the Second Schedule hereto the holder of which is entitled by law to a superannuation allowance on his resigning or otherwise ceasing to hold office, and (
- b)The offices of— (
- i)Assistant Clerk and Storekeeper, and (
- ii)Stores Assistant in a district mental hospital or auxiliary mental hospital within the meaning of the Mental Treatment Act, 1945 . FIRST SCHEDULE. The offices of— Assistant County Medical Officer. Assistant City Medical Officer. Any officer in a health institution within the meaning of the Health Act, 1947 , or in a district institution within the meaning of the Public Assistance Act, 1939 , who is required to be a registered medical practitioner. Gynaecologist. Obstetrician. Health Inspector. Supervising Health Inspector. Physiotherapist. SECOND SCHEDULE. The offices of— Kitchen Superintendent. Assistant Kitchen Superintendent. Cook. Dietician. Housekeeper. Land Steward, Farm Steward, Agricultural Manager and any officer performing similar duties.
