No. 11 of 1951. SOUTHERN RHODESIAN CITIZENS (IRISH CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS) ORDER, 1951. The Government, being satisfied that, by virtue of the Southern Rhodesian Citizenship and British Nationality Act, 1949, which came into force in Southern Rhodesia on the 1st day of January, 1950, Irish citizens in Southern Rhodesia enjoy certain rights and privileges, do hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1935 , (No. 13 of 1935), order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Southern Rhodesian Citizens (Irish Citizenship Rights) Order, 1951. 2. Southern Rhodesian citizens shall, subject to law, enjoy in Ireland, with effect from the 1st day of January, 1950, similar rights and privileges to those enjoyed by Irish citizens in Southern Rhodesia by virtue of the Southern Rhodesian Citizenship and British Nationality Act, 1949.
