HARBOUR RATES (DUNGARVAN HARBOUR) ORDER, 1951. I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the Harbours (Regulation of Rates) Act, 1934 (No. 2 of 1934), hereby order as follows :— 1.—

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dungarvan Harbour) Order, 1951.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd day of July, 1951. 2. The rates set out in the Schedules to this Order are hereby fixed as the maximum rates to be charged by the Dungarvan Urban District Council in respect of Dungarvan harbour. 3. Where the rates fixed under this Order are payable at a tonnage charge, lesser weights shall be chargeable as follows :— (
  1. a)any weight not exceeding 5 cwts. shall count as 5 cwts. ; (
  2. b)any weight over 5 cwts. to 10 cwts. shall count as 10 cwts. ; (
  3. c)any weight over 10 cwts. to 15 cwts. shall count as 15 cwts. ; (
  4. d)any weight over 15 cwts. to 20 cwts. shall count as one ton. 4. Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Dungarvan Urban District Council on subjects of charge set out in the Schedules to this Order, or the basis on which or method by which, such rates are computed, is hereby revoked. FIRST SCHEDULE. MAXIMUM GOODS RATES. Commodity Unit of Quantity Rate Import and Export Animals : s. d. Bulls, oxen, cows and horses each 6 Calves, pigs, sheep and lambs each 1 Fresh Herrings landed per mease 2 Other fresh fish landed per box 2 All other goods per ton 1 0 SECOND SCHEDULE. MAXIMUM TONNAGE RATES. Ref. No. Description of Charge Rate 1 Tonnage Rates of Vessels other than Fishing Vessels : s. d. (
  5. a)On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage, whichever is the greater, of every vessel entering the harbour for the purpose of discharging or loading cargo 1 0 (
  6. b)On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage, whichever is the greater, of every vessel entering and leaving the harbour without cargo, or entering and leaving the harbour with the same cargo or entering the harbour for the purpose of seeking refuge, a sum not exceeding 1 2 Tonnage Rates on Fishing Vessels : (
  7. a)On every fishing vessel exceeding 12 tons net register using the harbour for landing fish, as a composition in full of tonnage rates, an annual sum not exceeding 30 0 (
  8. b)On every ton of the net register tonnage of every fishing vessel exceeding 12 tons net register using the harbour for landing fish, and not paying the rate at 2 (
