Short title and collective citation. Acts Referred to Telegraph Act, 1928 No. 10 of 1928 Number 27 of 1953. TELEGRAPH ACT, 1953. AN ACT TO REPEAL THE STATUTORY LIMITS ON TELEGRAPH RATES. [24th November, 1953.] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— Repeal of statutory limits for inland written telegraph rates. 1.—Subsection
(1)of section 1 of the Telegraph Act, 1928 (No. 10 of 1928), is hereby repealed. Repeal of statutory limits for press telegraphic rates. 2.—The limits on the rates for the transmission and delivery, or the transmission or delivery, of telegraphic communications contained in section 16 of the Telegraph Act, 1868, as amended by section 1 of the Post Office and Telegraph Act, 1915, are hereby repealed. Short title and collective citation. 3.—
(1)This Act may be cited as the Telegraph Act, 1953.
(2)The Telegraph Acts, 1863 to 1928, and this Act may be cited together as the Telegraph Acts, 1863 to 1953.
