SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1952 (SECTION 71) ORDER, 1953. The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 71 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (Section 71) Order, 1953. 2. No person, who was immediately before the 2nd day of January, 1953, entitled to a widow's (non-contributory) pension, shall, on or after the 2nd day of January, 1953, receive less by way of pension than such person would have received if paragraph (

(1)and subsections
(2)and
(4)of section 20 of the Widows and Orphans Pensions Act, 1935 (as inserted by Section 105 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 ), had not come into operation.
