AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 250 of 1954. DEFENCE (CIVIL AUTHORITY WITH RESPECT TO COURTS-MARTIAL) REGULATIONS, 1954. I, SEÁN MAC EOIN, Minister for Defence, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 192 of the Defence Act, 1954 (No. 18 of 1954), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, and with the concurrence of the Minister for Justice, hereby make the following regulations : 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Defence (Civil Authority with respect to Courts-martial) Regulations, 1954.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the date on which the Defence Act, 1954 , shall come into operation.
- The exercise of the jurisdiction conferred on courts-martial by section 169 of the Defence Act, 1954 (No. 18 of 1954), shall, in the case of an offence relating to the person or property of a person not subject to military law, depend on the consent of the Superintendent of the Garda Síochána within whose district the offence is committed.
