No. 273 of 1954. SOCIAL WELFARE (DISABILITY BENEFIT, MARRIAGE BENEFIT AND MATERNITY BENEFIT) (VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTORS) (TRANSITIONAL) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1954. The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and in particular by sections 3 and 66 of the said Act, and with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby makes the following Regulations : 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit, Marriage Benefit and Maternity Benefit) (Voluntary Contributors) (Transitional) (Amendment) Regulations, 1954.
(2)These Regulations shall be construed as one with the Social Welfare (Disability Benefit, Marriage Benefit and Maternity Benefit (Voluntary Contributors) (Transitional) Regulations, 1953 ( S.I. No. 4 of 1953 ), hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the date of commencement of the Principal Regulations. 2. Article 11 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the insertion after the words " employed contributor " of the words " (not being a person to whom Article 5 of the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1953 ( S.I. No. 10 of 1953 ) applies)". GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Social Welfare this 7th day of December, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-four.
