THE POSTAL ORDER (INLAND) AMENDMENT (No. 6) REGULATIONS, 1956. Dated: 8th May, 1956. The Minister for Finance, on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs as testified by his signature hereto, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 23 and 82 of the Post Office Act, 1908, hereby makes the following regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 6) Regulations, 1956. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 4th day of June, 1956. 3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to these Regulations. 4. These Regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Postal Order (Inland) Regulations, 1905, hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations, and all Regulations amending the same. 5. Regulation 3 of the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 5) Regulations, 1953, ( S.I. No. 249 of 1953 ), is hereby revoked and the following Regulation is substituted in lieu of Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, namely :— " 5. The poundage payable on Postal Orders shall be as follows :— For an order for 6d. 1½d. For an order for any multiple of 6d. between 1s. and 4s., both inclusive 2d. For an order for any multiple of 1s. between 5s. and 15s., both inclusive 3d. For an order for any multiple of 1s. between 16s. and 20s., both inclusive 4d. For an order for any multiple of 1s. between 21s. and 40s., both inclusive 6d. " GIVEN under the Official Seal, of the Minister for Finance, this 8th day of May, 1956.
