MILK BOARDS (ELECTIONS) REGULATIONS, 1956. I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 13 of the Milk (Regulation of Supply and Price) Act, 1936 (No. 43 of 1936), hereby order as follows :— 1.—

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Milk Boards (Elections) Regulations, 1956.
(2)The Milk Boards (Election) Regulations, 1937 to 1946, and these Regulations may be cited as the Milk Boards (Elections) Regulations, 1937 to
  1. The Milk Boards (Elections) Regulations, 1937 ( S. R. & O. No. 178 of 1937 ), are hereby amended as follows :— (I) in subparagraph (f) of paragraph
(1)of regulation 7 " where the number of candidates duly nominated is greater than the number of members to be elected and the request hereinafter referred to is made during the period beginning on the day for the issue of the ballot papers and ending on the day of the election," shall be inserted before " the returning officer " ; and (II) in Form No. I in the First Schedule (being the form set out in the First Schedule to the Milk Boards (Elections), Regulations, 1944 ( S. R. & O. No. 38 of 1944 )), the following paragraph : " Any person whose name is entered on the electoral roll prepared for the purposes of the election may obtain, free of charge on application at the offices of the Board, a copy of the said electoral roll and a form of nomination paper." shall be deleted and, in lieu thereof, the following paragraph shall be substituted :— " Any person whose name is entered on the electoral roll prepared for the purposes of the election may obtain, free of charge on application at the offices of the Board— (
  1. i)a form of nomination paper, and (
  2. ii)where the number of candidates duly nominated is greater than the number of members to be elected and the application is made during the period beginning on the day for the issue of the ballot papers and ending on the day of the election, a copy of the said electoral roll."
